We work with the finest Amish craftsmen in Northern Indiana to provide you with the highest quality of Amish furniture. Every piece of furniture is constructed to retain its beauty for generations. Our furniture is built from solid hardwoods. In larger case pieces (hutches, dressers, etc.) the backs are made from veneered plywood to minimize cracking and/or warping that can result in solid wood when humidity changes.
Our Amish builders take pride in their work and each item of furniture is made to order so that your piece is truly unique. This process takes approximately 3 months, including shipping, but we can assure you that it is worth the wait. For more information about our shipping process, please refer to the Shipping Information page.
Our builders offer a variety of customizing options, including wood type and stain color. Most products are available in five different wood species: Red Oak, Cherry, Maple, Quarter Sawn White Oak and Brown Maple. Select pieces are also available in Hickory and Walnut. Our builders have also chosen a wide variety of finishes that will enhance the beauty of your furniture, please see our Stains and Finishes section for more information.
To ensure the greatest stability, our standard table leaves are 12" wide. Some tables have wider leaves and the leaf size is noted in the product description.
Furniture Building ProcessWe work with over 30 Amish builders and finishers. It is their common practice to work as one community, where each builder specializes in an individual craft, such as tables, dining chairs, or finishing. This means the entirety of your order is not constructed and finished by one builder, but rather, by a community of craftsmen. Once the parts of your order are assembled, everything is delivered to the same finisher to ensure a consistent look.
