Shipping & Delivery Procedures

At Amish Tables, every piece of furniture is handcrafted to order and delivered with the same care it was built with. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about our shipping process—from pickup to delivery day.

1. Order Completion & Pickup

Once your furniture is finished and ready to ship, it is carefully prepared and picked up by one of our trusted shipping partners.
You’ll receive an email from us confirming that your order has been picked up and is officially on its way.

2. Transit Time

Our furniture ships from our warehouse in Goshen, Indiana.
Estimated shipping time is typically 7–20 business days, depending on your location and the shipper’s route schedule.
Please note that this is an estimate, and actual delivery timing may vary slightly.

3. Estimated Communication Timing

Our shipping partners operate on a route-based system, planning their deliveries several days in advance.
You can expect to hear directly from the shipper about 3–5 days before your scheduled route to confirm your availability and delivery details.

If you are unavailable during that time frame, your order can usually be rescheduled for the next available delivery window, which typically runs 2–3 weeks later.

4. Delivery Types

When you placed your order, you selected either Curbside or Inside Delivery.
You can find your delivery type on your original invoice.

Curbside Delivery

  • Furniture is delivered to the curb or driveway.

  • You are responsible for unloading, bringing your furniture inside, and completing any assembly required.

  • For assistance, visit our Furniture Assembly Guides.

Inside Delivery

  • Furniture is brought inside and placed in the room of your choice.

  • The delivery team will complete any necessary assembly.

  • Any packing material will be removed.

5. Receiving Your Order

When your furniture arrives:

  1. Carefully inspect all pieces before signing the delivery receipt.

  2. If you notice any damage, note it clearly on the delivery receipt and take photos.

  3. Please contact us at sales@amishtables.com with your photos and a detailed description of the issue.

Damage claims are processed based on the notes provided at the time of delivery.
Please note: Damage or issues not reported within 5 days of delivery may not be eligible for coverage.

Returns, Cancellations & Warranty

At Amish Tables, every piece is made to order with care and craftsmanship. Because of the custom nature of our furniture, we want to clearly outline our policies to help you understand what to expect should any changes or issues arise.

Returns

Each piece of furniture is custom built specifically for you, which means it cannot be returned to the builder.
If you wish to return your order, a 30% restocking fee will apply, based on the furniture total, plus return shipping costs (if applicable).

Please note:

  • Custom furniture (including any item with customized sizing, stain matching, or special design modifications) and clearance items are non-returnable unless damaged upon delivery.

  • To request a return, you must notify Amish Tables in writing or via email within 3 days of receiving your order.

  • Refunds are issued by check within 7–10 days after we receive confirmation that your order has been picked up.

Cancellations

You may cancel your order within 3 days of placing it for a full refund.
After 3 days, your order may have already been submitted to our builders and begun production. In this case, cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee of up to 30% of the purchase price.

If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible so we can determine the status of your order.

Warranty

We proudly stand behind the quality of our Amish-built furniture and the craftsmanship of our builders.
Amish Tables provides a one-year limited warranty covering defects in workmanship or materials.

If a defect is found during this period, we’ll work with you to find the best resolution, which may include:

  • Repair or replacement of the affected item, or

  • Substitution with a comparable product.

Warranty decisions are made at the discretion of our vendors and the Amish Tables team. To initiate the process, we require photos of the issue.

Please note:

  • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, accidents, or improper care will void the warranty.

  • For guidance on protecting your furniture and maintaining warranty coverage, visit our Furniture Care Guide.

Seating Tips

Leg Tables

Leg tables offer excellent seating flexibility with plenty of open space underneath the table. With the legs positioned near the corners, guests have comfortable knee and foot clearance without a base or pedestal in the center.

The main consideration is the space between the table legs, which determines how many chairs can comfortably fit along each side. As the table gets longer, there is more room between the legs for additional seating.

For extension tables, adding leaves creates even more seating space, and larger configurations may include center support legs for added stability.

Center Support Legs

For leg tables with three leaves, one center support leg is added to allow for added stability. For tables with five to seven leaves, two center support legs are included. For tables with eight to twelve extensions, four center legs are included.
The legs are bolted in under the top into a mounting plate. They only need to be used when the table has the certain number of extensions indicated.

Geared table slides

Geared table slides are used on tables where noted. They are not usually used on leg tables, but can be occasionally. These slides allow for ease of use when opening and closing. They cannot be used on tables with 5 or more extensions.

Wooden Table slides

For most leg tables and all tables with five or more extensions, we use wooden table slides. These are lighter-weight than the geared extensions and allow for the telescoping function needed to expand to hold up to 12 extensions.

From start to finish this was a wonderful experience. We needed a table that would start at 84" and open to 120". Beautifully made. It glides open and stores all 4 leaves.
