Trestle tables are the hallmark of hospitality. This style dates back to the Middle Ages and was designed to accommodate large crowds and then disassembled. Today, this design offers the same level of flexibility while being one of our sturdiest table styles.

Most trestle styles feature the traditional “H”- frame base, providing extremely stable support for the table.  Because of the base, this style is the best for self-storing extensions.  

Seating around the H-frame base can offer a little bit of a challenge. A 60” table with a trestle base can only fit one person between the base supports, so it typically seats 4 people, while other styles can seat up to 6. Larger sizes like 66” and 72” can fit two people between the supports, allowing for about 6 seats, while other styles may seat up to 8. Some of these tables can also expand to accommodate up to 18–20 people with the addition of drop-down support legs.

Even though seating can be a bit more limited, trestle tables are usually sturdier than double pedestal styles.
