FAQ

How many people can the Harvest Leg Extension Table seat?

On its base sizes, most families comfortably seat 4 to 6 guests. With leaves added, the table can accommodate larger groups depending on the final length and the style of chairs used.

How many leaves can this table hold?

The Harvest Leg Table can be ordered as a solid top or with up to twelve 12 inch extension leaves, allowing for generous expansion.

Why does this table use center support legs?

Because leg tables rely on corner legs rather than a central trestle or pedestal, added support is valuable when the table becomes very long. The removable center legs ensure stability without changing the look of the table when leaves are not in use.

Can I use armchairs with this table?

Yes. However, the height of the skirt may require adjustment depending on the arm height of your chairs. Our team can help confirm the best fit before you order.

Which wood is best for a traditional look?

Rustic Cherry, Red Oak, and Quarter Sawn White Oak offer warm, classic grain patterns. For a more modern feel, Hard Maple or Brown Maple work beautifully.

Is this table durable enough for daily use?

Absolutely. The Harvest is crafted from solid hardwood with a thick top and strong legs. It is designed for everyday living and long term family use.

What is the typical lead time?

Most handcrafted tables take about 8 to 12 weeks. Quality takes time, and each Harvest table is made to order.

Available Wood Types:

Most of our furniture is available in: Red Oak, Brown Maple, Rustic Cherry, Cherry, Hard Maple, Quarter Sawn White Oak, Plain Sawn White Oak, Hickory, and Walnut.

Some of our furniture is also made in rough sawn or rustic woods and it would be noted in the product description.

Seating Tips

Leg Tables

Leg tables offer excellent seating flexibility with plenty of open space underneath the table. With the legs positioned near the corners, guests have comfortable knee and foot clearance without a base or pedestal in the center.

The main consideration is the space between the table legs, which determines how many chairs can comfortably fit along each side. As the table gets longer, there is more room between the legs for additional seating.

For extension tables, adding leaves creates even more seating space, and larger configurations may include center support legs for added stability.

Center Support Legs

For leg tables with three leaves, one center support leg is added to allow for added stability. For tables with five to seven leaves, two center support legs are included. For tables with eight to twelve extensions, four center legs are included.
The legs are bolted in under the top into a mounting plate. They only need to be used when the table has the certain number of extensions indicated.

Geared table slides

Geared table slides are used on tables where noted. They are not usually used on leg tables, but can be occasionally. These slides allow for ease of use when opening and closing. They cannot be used on tables with 5 or more extensions.

Wooden Table slides

For most leg tables and all tables with five or more extensions, we use wooden table slides. These are lighter-weight than the geared extensions and allow for the telescoping function needed to expand to hold up to 12 extensions.
